SEO is very essential for your business and an integral part of digital marketing. I won’t bore you by explaining how to use SEO and why it is crucial. There are many blogs related to why SEO is essential for business. You can simply search for it if you need to understand what SEO is. I don’t want to repeat the information that already exists. Otherwise, what’s the point of providing redundant information?
There are three types of websites we normally see: blog websites, e-commerce websites, and product or service websites. For any business with a website, SEO is necessary, but it is not impossible to operate without it. Especially in the beginning, your priority should be to create a responsive website and ensure that it runs smoothly. You can start implementing SEO as soon as your website is ready.
For your Blog Website, once you have published around 50 to 60 posts in each category (if you have three categories, that would be 50*3 = 150 blogs), then you should consider marketing. Otherwise, it will be challenging to rank your website due to insufficient content and keywords. If you cannot create 150 blogs, then at least prepare 50 to 60 pieces of content and start marketing. By the time you upload 50 to 60 pieces of content, you’ll have enough material for your marketing efforts. Ensure you have sufficient keywords and rich keyword content to get a quicker response from your marketing efforts. A blog website is an ongoing process. Initially, you should publish around 4 to 5 blogs each week, then adjust based on demand. Once you have enough content on your blog, your SEO audit can provide valuable information to make it more competitive in the market.
For your E-commerce Website, it’s a bit more challenging than other types of websites, especially if you have a small team. E-commerce is all about selling products, so before implementing SEO, you need to research the market and understand how your products are performing. Only after you have a good understanding and have received some positive reviews should you consider digital marketing like SEO. If your product isn’t a good fit for the market and you implement SEO, it won’t yield results. For e-commerce, thorough market research for your products is essential.
For your Product/Service Website, where you sell your own products or services (noting that these websites sell only their own products with few categories, unlike e-commerce websites that sell various categories and sometimes other brands’ products), it’s advisable to have a dedicated team, especially for service websites. As soon as your product or service is ready to be offered to the public, you can start SEO. It’s beneficial to start SEO early to stay ahead of competitors. Additionally, alongside SEO, I suggest using paid marketing such as social media or Google ads to increase visitors quickly. While organic growth is possible, it may be challenging initially due to high competition in this field. If you want quick results, investing in paid marketing is recommended.
Sooner or later, SEO is necessary for your business based on the company’s demands. For example, if you specialize in bathroom work and have a website where you sell your services related to bathroom repairs (such as fixing showers and toilets), it’s beneficial to start SEO right after your website is ready. Writing some blogs for additional content can also be helpful. Typically, people hire professionals for these types of services. However, if you’re knowledgeable about digital marketing, you can handle it yourself. Don’t waste time trying to learn SEO and other skills at that time; you can learn later if necessary. Remember, if Bill Gates had tried to create all the software by himself, Microsoft wouldn’t be the renowned company it is today.
Therefore, think and conduct research to determine the appropriate time to start digital marketing and plan accordingly. If you have any questions, please leave a comment or send me an email. Thank you.
