Image vs video ads

Image ads vs Video ads

Marketing nowadays is inevitable for any business. Without doing any sort of marketing, growing the business is really hard. In the early 20th century, marketing was so easy. Promoting on television, billboards, going house to house, etc. Now, because of digital marketing, the area of marketing is huge. Lots of ways are now available for promoting, and one of them is ads. Ads can be images or in video form.

Ads help to reach the target audience very quickly with the help of social media. Normally, for all companies in terms of paying for marketing, it comes down to ads.

Why businesses use ads in the first place:

Ads are something where you can grab more audience with a little bit of investing. For small companies, their first choice is ads if they want to go for paid ads. These paid ads are really easy to set up, and with a small investment, you can grab a large market. For any business, the ROI (Return on Investment) is higher in ads compared to other promotions.

Now we understand why we should do ads, but the question is which ads to use and what the impact is on both types of ads.

Image Ads and Video Ads:

For advertisement, you have only two options: either you promote with an image or show a video. Both ads have a few advantages, which make them unique to use, and it also depends on the promotion type. Let’s get started—

Image ads:

Normally, in image ads, you can schedule single picture/carousel ads and sometimes slideshows (based on image size). The benefits of image ads are that you can share a short message in one picture explaining the topic you are writing about. It is the same for carousel and slide ads as well, typically for those who do product business and need to show lots of products in one ad.

Video Ads:

In video ads, you usually see a lot of information through animation or someone explaining the product or service. Video ads are generally extensive and informative, attracting more people, which brings more trust to the customers. People are more likely to convert from video ads as they explain the product, solving a problem for that particular customer.

Which ads are suitable?

Both ads have their benefits, which make them useful. But on average, video ads perform better compared to image ads. It has been found that video ads perform 24% more than image ads. As video ads are more explanatory than image ads, they perform better, and as I said earlier, people have more faith in video ads than image ads. That does not mean that you should not use image ads. Image ads also perform well in some circumstances, which depends on the type of ads, and you need to research to determine which one will perform well.
